THIS IS OUR STORY YOUR HISTORY OUR LEGACY
BRUSSELS THE PINNACLE OF ZINNEKES
Brussels was an utopian city where everything was possible, one day you’re having a coffee with the prince at the Marolles the other you’re sleeping at a homeless shelter but it was Brussels, it never mattered what you are you’re just a Zinneke like everyone else, party, beer and French fries mayo. And if your were rich well an extra fricadelle. A Belgian waffel for sunday
There were no casts a city full of colours and vibes.
This is our story through our lens we captured the essence of Brussel's culture and its people that made it happen. Our photographs speaks of an era when enjoying every instant of the city's magic was our only concern.
All photographs are analogue from negative films. Taken between 1990 up to 2001 as we we lived it and experienced it. Today we just want to share our city's people's memories

Mission
We are photographers from an era when photography relied on the principles of light, mechanics, chemistry and also human reflexes. we had to think real fast to create an image. Photography was about capturing raw human emotions by using a camera and a negative film. Full of unintentional imperfections that reflect its authenticity. There was no preparations work, no themes, no hunting for subjects that might interest the gallery, no software and no intelligent apps to do the job. Photography was the capture of a fraction of second that express our emotions of the moment. We always had a camera and it was something spontaneous.
Our vision
My grandpa used to say " back in my day ......... "
Well guess what we are grandmas and grandpas now,
so yes off-course we would say that " Back in my day ......"

But this website is not about whining... It is about sharing our story and our love of Brussels expressed through our photography as we experienced it us the children of the boomers, the Generation X,
we were the "negative films "Analogue photographers of the 90s
